Sea Trout Fishing Bibliography

Hugh Falkus has written some fine books like Sea Trout Fishing, Salmon Fishing and The Stolen Years. Hugh's plan was that The Stolen Years was to have been the first in a trilogy of books covering his whole life. He worked on the manuscript for the second book from time to time but did not pursue it according to that original plan. Sadly, the books never materialised and the manuscript was put to one side and largely forgotten.

Some of it was Fun is certainly part, if not all, of that ‘lost’ manuscript. The discovery of this text by Anthony Desbruslais gives us all the chance to enjoy a previously unpublished selection of Falkus’s writing when we thought there would be no more.

The book is published as a standard hardback with dustjacket (as illustrated) or in a special edition of only 195 copies quarter bound in salmon skin. The book is beautifully illustrated by Scott Adkins.

The book inludes Falkus's short story 'The Sea Trout' and extracts from Salmo the Leaper and Self Portrait of a happy man - similar to The Stolen years - a Great Read - Thanks to the Medlar Press for the use of this picture and to Mr A. Debruslais.
